HOW TO GET STARTED: STEP 1 – 6. 

STEP 1: FILL OUT INTAKE FORM & SELECT PACKAGE.
STEP 2: COMPLETE ONLINE DRIVER’S EDUCATION COURSE & RECIEVE CERTICIFATE IN MAIL.
STEP 3: MAKE APPOINTMENT AT DMV TO TAKE WRITTEN EXAM FOR YOUR PERMIT (must be 15 1/2 or older).
STEP 4: SET UP BTW LESSONS WITH BETTER WAY DRIVING TO MAKE PERMIT LEGAL.
STEP 5: COMPLETE ALL 6 HOURS OF REQUIRED BTW LESSONS WITHIN 6MONTHS & RECIEVE GOLDEN CERTIFICATE.
STEP 6: MAKE APPOINTMENT WITH DMV PRIOR TO FINISHING BTW LESSONS.

Step 2: Online Driver’s Education

Our DMV approved teen drivers education online teaches the rules and regulations of the road, as well as safe driving practices. It is completed on a computer, phone, tablet, computer or other internet-connected device and includes lessons, videos, and quizzes.

We again appreciate everyone who takes the time to write a review and give us feedback. However, Brooke Radcliffe who has never done business with us gave a 1 star without a review. This is abuse of the Star review ratings and hurts our approval rate. Please we would ask that you leave relevant information about any company when rating their performance.

I am an instructor for Better Way Driving School. The training has been phenomenal. I really appreciate the great support from Better Way! Better Way has a great Team and is highly organized with the lesson material and student lesson plans. I love teaching beginner drivers - very rewarding to be part of my students earning their drivers license! I am very grateful to be part of a great Team! 😄

Nikki gave my daughter three lessons. She said she felt very comfortable and learned so much. She passed her drivers test on the first try and said she felt completely confident and relaxed thanks to Nikki’s making sure she practiced everything on the test first. We highly recommend better way, driving school, there’s NO better way!

Better Way driving school is amazing. Enrolling and making appointments was very easy. Any and all communication was extremely prompt, simple and clear. My daughter really liked her instructor and in my short conversation with him I could see that he really enjoyed to teach driving and that he did so in an encouraging, friendly and supportive manner. She also really liked the vehicle, gained new skills and came out confident to go take her road test at the DMV. Pickup and drop-off was super convenient for us right at Truckee High. We did not have a chance to review their online learning but If you are looking for a driving school in the Truckee area you simply can't do better than Better Way Driving School, they really are great!

John at Better Way driving was a great instructor. Drop off and pick up of my teenagers was easy and appts before and after school and on weekends were convenient. They passed their driving tests with DMV with flying colors.

We haven't had a driving lesson yet but so far the service has been excellent. When the owner learned that we had a negative experience with another driving school, she offered to take my daughter immediately. We got her final lesson scheduled right away. We are looking forward to a much more positive and productive experience with Better Way!

360° LEARNING ON AND OFFLINE

The course includes both online instruction and behind-the-wheel training. Online instruction covers topics such as traffic laws, safe driving techniques, and the consequences of reckless or impaired driving. DMV approved Behind-the-wheel training involves supervised driving sessions with a certified instructor, and E licensed DMV company. During these lessons the student practices driving skills and techniques in a real-world setting. This all has to be done with a licensed vendor to get your Gold Cert which you present to the CA DMV.
